Nadi Astrology Chapters in Palm Leaves Astrology (Thumb Impression)
In Nadi shastra the Palm leaves are a set of highly organized manuscripts divided into sixteen chapters or Kandams. These Kandams serialize the various aspects of materialistic and spiritual life of an individual such as family, marriage, profession, wealth, luck, a relationship between brothers and sisters etc., Some chapter gives details about previous birth and sins, and committed problems and solutions for successful life in this birth signify in each separate kandam (2 to 16).
- 1. Nadi Jyotish Chapter/Kandam - Generalized Report
This reading contains the name of the Nadi seeker, his/her life span, how she/he is going to live this life, his/her identity, name of his/her spouse if married, names of his/her parents, details about the present profession, his/her brothers, sisters and children. This chapter will give a summary of future predictions for all the 12 houses in his/her horoscope based on the planetary positions at the time of birth as mentioned in the Nadi leaf.

This chapter gives details about the Nadi seeker's Wealth, Family and Education. It also contains details about his/her Eyesight and Speech-related information.

This chapter presents the names of all the siblings of the Nadi seeker. His/her relationships with his/her siblings, problems and ill feelings if any are described. It also provides information about the positive and negative aspects of the relationship with siblings.

This chapter has details about the Mother, the role and influence of Mother in the Nadi seeker's life, its benefits and problems in his life. There are also details about the Nadi seeker's House, Vehicles, Land, treasures and general material comforts and achievements.

It also deals with your next birth that is where you will be born, what will be your living conditions, etc.

This chapter deals with the history of last birth, last birth sins, demerits accrued in present birth due to last birth sins and remedial measures.
- Deeksha Kandam (Nadi Jyotish Chapter/Kandam 14) - Upadesh of Mantras
This chapter deals with holy mantras (sacred chants) to be recited, and the holy materials to be kept in prayer room. Subjugation of enemies and use of mantra to prevail over them, litigation, bad and evil effects, etc.

This chapter deals with Development of spirituality, the possibility, of attaining wisdom and God. The Guru of preceptor, from whom to get wisdom etc.
- Disabukthi/– Political Kandam (Nadi Jyotish Chapter/Kandam 16) - Public Life
This chapter gives information about Predictions about social service and political life.
The below said kandams are predicted by sages, Which the same is reflected in kandam details. Chapters 2 to 12 will give future predictions up to end of life from the date of perusal of that kandam.
Shanthi Remedies – First Path
According to the first path we should find out from treatise (Nadi Astrology) the miseries in our life, and as a re-compensation for our evil deeds, we should do a direct opposite act of kindness in the place of miseries, which are present in our life. Supposing, a person remains unmarried for a long period of time, even after attaining a marriageable age, he would certainly get married very soon and experience happiness in life, if he conducts a free marriage for a poor couple and worships the Holy feet of God.
Shanthi Remedies – Second Path
According to the second path, if a person constructs a temple, establishes a Deity and thus feeds men with thoughts of righteousness, he can remove the evil effects of his sins committed in his past births. For example, if a person remains unmarried due to Sarbathosha (snake thosha), which presents hurdles for attaining a marital status, he can construct a temple for "Harichandra", performing a purifying ceremony (for the temple) to remove the impact of the evil deeds of his past life on him. By adopting the remedial measures stated above he will certainly get married, and experience pleasure. The second path, which induces others to follow the path of righteousness and thereby helps them to remove the effects of their evil deeds of their past birth is said to be a very great one. ShanthiKandams instructs a person to atone for the sins committed in his past births and reveals through its Divine secret paths, ways to increase the number of good deeds in order to experience gr eat changes in his life. Therefore, if a person pays heed to the g olden words of the Guru and abides by the ways prescribed by the Shanthighandham, he is sure to experience great changes in his life and he will possess thoughts of righteousness which in turn would prevent him from doing evil deeds in future.
Shanthi Remedies – Third Path
According to the third path the evil effects of sins (of the past births) can be reduced by degrees through sincere utterance of the sacred original mantrasto God and by allowing thoughts of righteousness to grow in us people with false faith who pretend to have devotion to God will derive bad results instead of good results if they follow this path. By adopting the remedial measures certain soul get the desired effect within a few days, whereas it takes months or even years for other souls to get the desired effect. The power of the evil deed done in the past the sense of adoration for the remedy, and the kind of life one leads after the performance of the remedy (parikara) are the factors that determine the span of time taken for the desired effect to come to them. Only those who are destined to follow and perform the prescribed remedial measures with the guidance of the Guru can derive benefits. Others, who do not have the determination to do them, will neither come to understand the sins of the past births nor will they be able to remove the impact of by adapting remedial measures. Remedial measures adopted with the guidance given by us in the prescribed manner will certainly bring about benefits in life.
